This Shiraz is inspired by the great blends of the northern Rhône Valley. Sourced mainly from vines planted in 1969, co-fermented with small proportions of Viognier (3% Mataro and 1% Viognier). Aged for 15 months in French barriques (30% new). The 2020 vintage yielded wines of great aromatic concentration. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOn the nose, deep and aromatic, with a dark garnet color. Concentrated notes of redcurrant, satsuma plums, and blackberries with hints of fennel seed, olive tapenade, dark chocolate powder, and a light vanilla from the oak. On the palate, a complete wine with its tart dark black cherry fruits, a light savory nuance, and very fine, firm tannins providing the structure to age well into the decade and beyond.
