Grape must was inadvertently spilled into an oak cask of eau de vie (brandy) and cognac. However, that’s where the randomness stops. Nothing is random in how the Lhéraud family makes pineau. Their quality products are the result of their know-how and passion. This particular pineau is a blend of Ugni blanc, Folle Blanche and Colombard grapes. You may have never heard of them (and that' s OK), but they create a sweet and flavourful fortified wine. It was aged 15 years in an oak cask. It is intense, balanced and maintains an elegant acidity. The bouquet reveals lovely notes of walnut, raisins and candied pear.
