DESCRIPTION
This exceptional Morgon wine boasts a brilliant, deep purple hue. Harmonious and expressive, its bouquet reveals captivating aromas of blackcurrant, plum, violet, and old-fashioned rose. On the palate, it gently coats with waves of fresh red fruits, particularly cherry, delivering a tender and mature experience. This wine pairs beautifully with rib-eye steak, game meats, and robust cheese.
Jean-Ernest Descombes dedicated his life to the Morgon appellation, elevating its reputation over more than thirty years. Known as a charismatic figure in the Beaujolais region, he welcomed countless journalists and wine enthusiasts to his cellars to taste his fine creations. His vineyards were planted on some of Morgon’s finest terroirs, including the Côte du Py—a volcanic hill where Gamay thrives magnificently.
