DESCRIPTION
The vineyard of Château Maucoil is located in the northwest of the Châteauneuf du Pape territory, on the left bank of the Rhône, and on the three terroirs of the appellation: the pebbles, the Hurgonians and the sands. The white vines are planted on the Urgoniens, a limestone soil that is ideal for the production of white wines. This wine is clean and bright with a rich and very fine nose, with pear and citrus connotations. Racy and dense, with a good persistence, this wine presents a beautiful minerality. It can be enjoyed as an aperitif with goat cheese toast or with rich cuisine, shellfish, grilled salmon, codfish brandade or veal chops with chanterelles.
