The Story
At the heart of Bas-Armagnac, Maison Baron Gaston Legrand, founded in Lannepax over a century ago, perpetuates the art of vintage eaux-de-vie. This 1991 vintage perfectly embodies the elegance of the Gascon terroir: a spirit patiently aged in oak barrels for several decades, where time has chiseled every nuance. Today, the Lhéraud family watches over this living heritage, a symbol of rare and timeless expertise.
The Vinification
Distilled at low proof according to the traditional method, this Bas Armagnac has aged slowly in Gascon oak barrels, promoting gentle micro-oxygenation. The sandy-clay soils rich in iron oxides confer upon the 1991 vintage its harmonious structure and aromatic depth, where candied fruits and spices subtly blend with the wood.
The Tasting
The Bas Armagnac Baron Gaston Legrand 1991 offers a structured and generous palate, with a subtle balance between power and roundness. The nose reveals notes of vanilla, apricot, and prune, enhanced by woody and citrus touches. The finish is long and refined, with delicate tannins that prolong the pleasure of tasting.

France
Nicolas - Local Nose
By the smell, it's straightforward: vanilla, ripe apricot, and a super gourmand little prune side. Simple and pleasant, it immediately makes you want to taste it.
