The Story
At the heart of Bas-Armagnac, Maison Baron Gaston Legrand, founded in Lannepax over a century ago, perpetuates the art of vintage eaux-de-vie. This 2006 vintage perfectly embodies the elegance of the Gascon terroir: a spirit patiently aged in oak barrels for several decades, where time has chiseled every nuance. Today, the Lhéraud family watches over this living heritage, a symbol of rare and timeless expertise.
The Vinification
This Bas Armagnac was distilled at low proof, following the traditional method. It then matured slowly in Gascon oak barrels, drawing its finesse from the characteristic "sables fauves" (tawny sands) of Bas-Armagnac. This process confers a supple structure and a beautiful aromatic richness on the eau-de-vie, while ensuring harmony between the wood and the initial fruity aromas.
The Tasting
The Bas Armagnac Baron Gaston Legrand 2006 is distinguished by its freshness and elegance on the palate. The nose opens with delicate aromas of dried fruits, prune, and walnut, enhanced by subtle floral touches. On the palate, it reveals a round and supple texture, offering beautiful aromatic harmony. The finish, delicately spiced, pleasantly prolongs the tasting experience. A perfect vintage for celebrating a year or offering a refined gift.

France
Jana - Local Nose
Very fresh for an Armagnac of this age! The notes of walnut and flowers are super pleasant. A pleasure to enjoy with friends.
