The Story
Since 1810, Maison Lhéraud has embodied the art of vintage cognac with rare demanding standards. Located in Angeac, between Grande and Petite Champagne, it crafts spirits faithful to their terroir, distilled in a Charentais still and aged slowly in Limousin oak barrels. This 1980 vintage, sourced exclusively from the Petite Champagne cru, illustrates the Lhéraud style in all its nobility: balance, finesse, and depth.
The Vinification
Distilled in 1980, this cognac has benefited from prolonged aging in oak barrels, promoting natural micro-oxygenation and the full development of aromas. Notes of dried fruits, leather, blond tobacco, and spiced butter blend with touches of rancio and candied fruits, offering a velvety texture and a fine tannic structure. The Petite Champagne terroir ensures finesse and aging potential, while preserving the cru's typical aromatic expression.
The Tasting
Amber in color, the Lhéraud Petite Champagne Cognac 1980 seduces with its warm roundness and refined balance. The long, subtly spiced finish reveals remarkable freshness for its age and an elegance typical of the great Lhéraud vintages. A cognac for tasting and cellaring, to be savored slowly.

France
Jana - Local Nose
A 1980 that is seductive with its warm roundness. The nose is rich in dried fruits, blond tobacco, and spiced butter. The palate is velvety with a fine tannic structure and a refined balance. Long finish and fresh for a cognac of this age.
