History
From the stony, clay-limestone terroirs of Roussillon, the 1981 Rivesaltes Ambré from Arnaud de Villeneuve is a rare vintage, with only 1,400 bottles produced. After more than 35 years of patient aging in concrete tanks, large casks, and barrels, this natural sweet wine expresses the full nobility of old Rivesaltes.
Vinification
Made from Grenache and Macabeo, this wine follows tradition: destemmed harvest, direct pressing, and mutage on the must to preserve richness and balance. The long, careful aging has given it aromatic depth and complexity.
Tasting Notes
Its deep amber color with copper highlights precedes a powerful and refined nose of gingerbread, curry, vanilla, candied orange, walnuts, and noble rancio. On the palate, it impresses with surprising freshness and richness, where notes of spices, dried figs, and light coffee unfold, finishing with a persistent finish. Ideal at the end of a meal, with a chocolate dessert, or for moments of pure conviviality.

France
