The Story
Founded over a century ago in Lannepax, in the heart of Bas-Armagnac, Maison Baron Gaston Legrand embodies the noblest soul of Gascony. This 1935 vintage, hand-distilled and aged for nearly a century in oak barrels, bears witness to an unaltered expertise. Since 1998, the Lhéraud family has perpetuated this rare heritage, safeguarding a collection of historic vintages that make every bottle a true piece of history.
The Vinification
Distilled according to the traditional low-proof method, the 1935 vintage has been aged extensively in Gascon oak barrels. This maturation allows for progressive micro-oxygenation, which softens the tannins and enriches the aromas. The meticulous choice of barrels and their optimal maintenance promote the development of exceptional aromatic complexity, where woody, spicy, and vanilla notes subtly intertwine. The eau-de-vie thus benefits from remarkable roundness and balance, the result of demanding and meticulous vinification.
The Tasting
This Vieil Armagnac 1935 presents a deep amber color and an intense nose of candied fruits, vanilla, and honey, revealing the richness of its terroir. On the palate, it expresses itself with elegant roundness and a silky texture, accompanied by delicate nuances of prune, sweet spices, and noble wood. The finish is long and refined, leaving a persistent and harmonious memory. Every sip invites a sensory journey through time, celebrating the French art de vivre and the soul of Bas-Armagnac.

France
