Vinothèque

Wine, like travel, is an adventure. We're basically tour guides, without the uniforms. Here in the Vinothèque, you’ll find all the tips, tricks, and information to make the right choice … for you. It used to be that wine tasting was all about food pairing. This goes with this and not that. Though this may still be accurate, eating habits and wine-making have evolved so much that the rule-book deserves a bit of an update. Whether you want to think inside or outside of the box, there's far more to choose from than you know. Above all, wine tasting is about having fun. Be our guest and let your taste buds travel around the world with us. You won't be disappointed and you won't get thirsty.

Opening a Bottle of Champagne

Champagne, a symbol of celebration, requires special attention when opening. Here's a method to open a bottle safely:

  1. Chill the Bottle: Keep the champagne at a temperature of 6 to 8°C to minimize pressure upon opening.
  2. Remove the Foil: Gently unwrap the metal foil surrounding the cork.
  3. Loosen the Wire Cage: Untwist the wire while maintaining pressure on the cork.
  4. Open with Care: Tilt the bottle slightly, hold the cork, and gently turn the bottle. The cork should come out with a soft "pouf" rather than a loud "pop."

The Vinothèque is not just about selling wine; we also educate our customers. We regularly organize tastings, workshops, and seminars to deepen your knowledge about wine, from winemaking to food pairings.
