Rosé cocktails: 10 fresh and easy summer recipes

Rosé is already an invitation to aperitif hour. So why not give it a little festive flair?

Rosé is probably the wine that feels most like summer. Served well chilled, it accompanies long evenings with friends, terrace lunches and impromptu barbecues. But it has another quality: it makes a wonderful base for light, fruity and refreshing cocktails.

Rosé Spritz, Frosé, Rosé Sangria, Rosé Grapefruit or Rosé Lemonade... the possibilities are many.

At Vinodelice, we hold one firm belief: a great cocktail always starts with a great wine. The goal is never to mask the rosé under a flood of sugar or spirits, but to elevate it with a few simple, well-chosen ingredients.

Here are our favourite recipes...and the cuvées we recommend to make them shine.

Which rosé to choose for a cocktail?

Not all rosés give the same result.

Very complex or barrel-aged cuvées are generally best enjoyed on their own. For cocktails, look for rosés that are fresh, fruity and low in tannins.

Aromas of strawberry, white peach, citrus or red fruit bring a sense of generosity while preserving beautiful freshness.

The idea is never to make you forget the wine. On the contrary, it should always be the star of the glass.

1. The Rosé Spritz
The great classic of summer aperitifs.

Lighter than a traditional Spritz, the Rosé Spritz gives more room to the wine. And when made with a quality bitter, it gains even more finesse.

Ingredients

Method
Fill a large wine glass with ice. Pour in the rosé, add the Spritz des Dunes, then top with sparkling water. Stir gently and add an orange slice.

Vinodelice tip
We love the pairing of Roseblood Rosé with Spritz des Dunes Melifera. The notes of immortelle, citrus and the slight bitterness of the bitter naturally extend the freshness of the rosé without ever masking it.

2. The Frosé
The star rosé cocktail of the Californian beaches.

Halfway between a cocktail and a granita, the Frosé has become unmissable the moment temperatures rise.

Ingredients

  • 25 cl rosé
  • 150 g strawberries
  • a handful of raspberries
  • juice of half a lemon
  • ice

Method
Blend all the ingredients until you reach a granita-like texture. Serve immediately in a well-chilled glass.

Vinodelice tip
Paparazzi Rosé brings just the right amount of fruit to complement the strawberries without making the cocktail too sweet.

3. The Rosé Sangria
The summer version of the famous Spanish sangria.

Lighter and fresher than its red wine cousin, it is ideal for meals shared among friends.

Ingredients

  • 75 cl rosé
  • 1 peach
  • a handful of strawberries
  • 1 orange
  • 1 lime
  • 25 cl sparkling water

Method
Cut the fruit into pieces. Leave to infuse for several hours in the rosé in the refrigerator. Add the sparkling water just before serving.

Vinodelice tip
For a Rosé Sangria full of freshness, we love Viu Manent Reserva Estate Collection Rosé 2024. Its notes of white peach, red fruit and white flowers pair naturally with the fresh fruit in the recipe, without ever overpowering the wine.

4. The Rosé Grapefruit
Probably the simplest cocktail and one of the most effective.

Grapefruit brings a slight bitterness that perfectly underlines the freshness of the rosé.

Ingredients

  • two parts rosé
  • one part fresh pink grapefruit juice
  • ice
  • a sprig of rosemary

Method
Pour the ingredients directly over the ice. Add the rosemary as garnish.

Vinodelice tip
Tabalí Pedregoso Gran Reserva Rosé 2024 brings a superb tension to this cocktail. Its freshness, minerality and notes of red fruit and citrus dialogue perfectly with the grapefruit, for a very thirst-quenching result.

5. The Rosé Lemonade
The cocktail for long summer evenings.

Three ingredients, plenty of ice and irresistible freshness.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 rosé
  • 1/3 artisan lemonade
  • lemon slices
  • mint leaves
  • ice

Method
Pour the rosé into a large glass filled with ice. Top with the lemonade. Add a few lemon slices and a few lightly bruised mint leaves.

Vinodelice tip
Kanonkop Kadette Rosé 2025 brings a beautiful fruit intensity that allows it to hold its own alongside the lemonade. An excellent way to discover a South African rosé in a simple, convivial cocktail.

6. The Rosé Tonic
An elegant, low-sugar and very refreshing cocktail.

The tonic brings just the right amount of bitterness to reveal the aromas of the rosé.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 rosé
  • 1/3 premium tonic
  • lemon zest
  • a few pink peppercorns

Method
Pour the rosé then the tonic over ice. Add the pink peppercorns and lemon zest.

Vinodelice tip
Choose a dry, lively rosé so the tonic never takes over.

7. The Rosé Piscine
The simplest of all.

A large glass, plenty of ice, a well-chilled rosé and summer can begin.

Ingredients

  • rosé
  • sparkling water
  • ice
  • lemon or grapefruit zest

Method
Fill a glass generously with ice. Pour in the rosé then a splash of sparkling water. Finish with a citrus zest.

Vinodelice tip
The freshest, lowest-alcohol rosés work best here. They retain all their freshness even with ice.

Rosé cocktails without alcohol? Absolutely.

Alcohol-free cocktails have never been more creative. With the arrival of genuinely high-quality dealcoholised wines, it is now possible to prepare elegant aperitifs without giving up the pleasure of wine.

At Vinodelice, we have a real soft spot for Copenhagen Sparkling Cuvée Lyserød Rosé. Its fine bubbles, red fruit aromas and beautiful freshness make it an excellent base for festive cocktails.

The key is to preserve the effervescence. That is why all the recipes below let the bubbles speak for themselves.

8. The Alcohol-Free Rosé Spritz
The spirit of the Spritz... without the alcohol.

Ingredients

  • 12 cl Copenhagen Sparkling Cuvée Lyserød Rosé
  • 4 cl alcohol-free bitter
  • 2 cl sparkling water
  • one orange slice
  • ice

Method
Fill a large glass with ice. Pour in the alcohol-free bitter, add the Copenhagen Sparkling Rosé then top with sparkling water. Garnish with an orange slice.

Vinodelice tip
The fine bubbles of the Lyserød bring all the lightness you expect from a Spritz, while the red fruit notes perfectly balance the slight bitterness of the bitter.

9. The Citrus Rosé Fizz
Simple, elegant and incredibly refreshing.

Ingredients

  • 15 cl Copenhagen Sparkling Cuvée Lyserød Rosé
  • a few pink grapefruit segments
  • one lime zest
  • ice

Method
Place the grapefruit segments in the glass. Add ice then gently pour in the Copenhagen Sparkling Rosé. Finish with a lime zest.

Vinodelice tip
This cocktail beautifully showcases the red fruit notes and natural freshness of the Lyserød without masking its character.

10. The Rosé Garden
The most floral cocktail in our selection.

Ingredients

  • 15 cl Copenhagen Sparkling Cuvée Lyserød Rosé
  • a few basil leaves
  • one thin cucumber slice
  • sparkling water (optional)

Method
Lightly bruise the basil leaves. Add them with the cucumber to a large glass filled with ice. Pour in the Copenhagen Sparkling Rosé. Top with a splash of sparkling water if desired.

Vinodelice tip
The basil brings a herbaceous note that perfectly underlines the freshness of the alcohol-free sparkling without overpowering it.

FAQ

Can you make a great cocktail with rosé?
Yes. Fresh, fruity and low-tannin rosés make excellent cocktail bases. The goal is to showcase the wine, not to mask its aromas.

What is the best rosé cocktail?
The Rosé Spritz remains the most popular, but the Frosé, Rosé Sangria and Rosé Grapefruit are also summer classics.

Which rosé to choose for a cocktail?
Look for a dry, fresh and fruity rosé. Heavily oaked or age-worthy cuvées are generally better enjoyed on their own.

Can you make a rosé cocktail without alcohol?
Absolutely. A quality alcohol-free sparkling rosé allows you to create elegant and refreshing cocktails while preserving the festive quality of fine bubbles.

Are rosé cocktails very sweet?
Not necessarily. The most balanced recipes use fresh fruit, citrus or aromatic herbs rather than syrups.

Summer often begins with a glass of rosé...

... but nothing stops you from giving it a little festive twist.

A Rosé Spritz at sunset, a Rosé Sangria shared among friends or an alcohol-free Rosé Garden at a terrace lunch: there are a thousand ways to reinvent rosé while honouring what makes it so charming.

At Vinodelice, we believe a great cocktail should never make you forget the wine. On the contrary, it should offer the wine a new way to express itself. Because before being an ingredient, a rosé remains above all — a wine made for pleasure.

And if you enjoyed these rosé recipes, you will love our white wine cocktail recipes too. More floral, more mineral or more fruity depending on the grape variety, they open up a whole new playground for aperitif hour.
