The Story
From the Lannepax terroir, the historical cradle of Armagnac, the Baron Gaston Legrand 1982 vintage embodies the timeless nobility of the Ténarèze region. Patiently aged in oak barrels, this Cask Strength (Brut de Fût) testifies to the ancestral expertise of the house founded over a century ago, now under the aegis of Maison Cognac Lhéraud.
The Vinification
Distilled according to the traditional low-proof method, this Armagnac has aged for over forty years in Gascon oak barrels. The clay-limestone terroir of Ténarèze lends the eau-de-vie (spirit) a robust structure. This long Cask Strength (Brut de Fût) aging is essential to reveal its remarkable aromatic complexity and offer an elegant and harmonious body on the palate.
The Tasting
The Ténarèze Armagnac 1982 Cask Strength (Brut de Fût) opens with a powerful and expressive nose, unveiling notes of spice butter, dried fruits, and walnut, characteristic of great old vintages. On the palate, the attack is direct and balanced. The rich and structured tannins support an elegant body. Subtle and aromatic, this eau-de-vie presents a beautiful freshness and exceptional length. The finish is silky and refined, a true homage to time.

France

A vintage with character! The notes of walnut and spices are intense. Ideal for a birthday; it has aged very well, and the freshness is surprising.
