DESCRIPTION
We are on the northern side of the Etna in Sicily, a particularly gifted region for the production of red wines. Think of Barolo, Bourgogne or Barbaresco in terms of greatness...but with its own identity. The aromas of this wine are fine and vivid thanks to the flavours of violet, bergamot, shrubland, wet stone, and hints of white pepper. On the palate, it is both succulent and patient, with delicate tannins. The finish is strong and tasty. This wine should be paired with arancini, Basque-style chicken and ratatouille.

Italy

Puglia, Italy's third-largest wine-growing region, is renowned for its powerful, sun-drenched red wines, made from indigenous grape varieties such as Primitivo, Negroamaro and Bombino Nero. The dry, sun-drenched terroir of southern Italy produces full-bodied, ripe-fruited wines, perfect for accompanying Mediterranean dishes. Long underestimated, Puglia's red wines are now seducing wine-lovers in search of fine Italian discoveries at affordable prices.
