Marlborough
New Zealand

Marlborough is by far New Zealand’s most important wine region. Located at the northeastern tip of the South Island, this dry, sunny region is home to over 500 wineries and produces nearly 75% of New Zealand’s wine. Warm days, cool nights, and well-drained alluvial soils create ideal conditions for aromatic wines with crisp acidity.
It is here that the Marlborough style of Sauvignon Blanc was born, a style that has taken the world by storm: vibrant, intensely fruity, with herbal notes and a saline minerality. While Sauvignon Blanc dominates, Marlborough also produces excellent Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Riesling, cementing its reputation as New Zealand’s international wine showcase.
