A true rare gem of Beaujolais, this 2013 Secret de Chardonnay from Château du Chatelard comes exclusively from the clay-limestone terroirs of the Chatelard hill. This exceptional cuvée, limited to only 6,000 bottles, expresses with finesse and elegance all the typicity of Chardonnay grown on these privileged soils.
Its golden yellow color with silver reflections announces a distinguished and refined wine. The nose reveals a rich and complex aromatic palette dominated by notes of ripe fruits and fresh citrus. On the palate, the attack is clean and direct, developing a beautiful finesse accompanied by a persistent aromatic complexity that extends into a rich and long-lasting finish.
This exceptional Beaujolais Blanc, carefully vinified and partially aged (20%) in oak barrels, will flourish perfectly as an aperitif or paired with fine fish, shellfish, or goat cheese. It can be kept for 3 to 5 years to further develop its aromatic palette.
