Situated at the foot of Mont Granier, Domaine des Granges Longues is a family property managed by the Cochet family for several generations. Committed to an environmentally respectful approach (organic conversion started in 2021), the estate draws the best from the Apremont terroir, made up of calcareous scree that imparts its singular minerality to the wine.
The Maltaverne cuvée is sourced from a manual harvest and careful vinification in small volumes. The work in the cellar aims to bring richness and texture to the Jacquère, a traditionally lively grape variety. The result is a wine that conserves its natural perlant (slight spritz) while offering a fuller and more complex substance.
On the palate, this 2022 surprises with its beautiful amplitude and richness, finding a perfect balance with the minerality. The finish stretches out on notes of citrus and a refreshing acidity. It is a wine of Savoie gastronomy, built for a raw milk raclette, a Crozets risotto with Beaufort cheese, or a shrimp curry.

France
Savoie is a mountainous French wine region located near the Swiss border. The region is very fragmented by its mountainous terrain. The cool climate of Savoie dictates the predominance of crisp white wines produced in the region. Despite the difficulty of reds to mature in this type of climate, Savoie is the home of Mondeuse, a red grape variety used to make wines with a significant bitterness.
William - Local Nose
An Apremont that has body! It's not acidic at all; on the contrary, it is quite round with a superb lemony finish.
