DESCRIPTION
This wine comes from the Jujuy region in Argentina, which is located near the equator. It has an intense aroma with spicy notes of green peppers and menthol. On the palate, there's a medium-bodied character that echoes the aromas from the nose, with pronounced acidity, balanced tannins, and a long finish.
REGION
Cafayate
Argentina
Cafayate is a wine region in northwestern Argentina, located in the Calchaqui Valley - one of the highest places in the world suitable for viticulture. The Calchaqui Valley surrounds Cafayate and has some of the most spectacular scenery in Argentina, changing quickly and dramatically from desert to mountains and subtropical climate. The terroir is particularly suited to the Torrontes Riojana grape, but wines made from Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon are also produced here.
