The Fantin Nodar Pinot Bianco 2022 is an Italian Pinot Blanc from the hills of Friuli Colli Orientali, one of the most renowned regions for this grape.
Grown on "ponca" soils — an alternation of marl and sandstone — the wine expresses with precision all the finesse and minerality of the terroir.
On the nose, it reveals a fine aromatic complexity, weaving together white flowers, fresh fruit and a subtle note of mint. On the palate, the balance is remarkable: freshness, elegance and length play off one another with poise. It pairs beautifully with risottos, fish, or vegetable-led dishes.
An Italian Pinot Bianco that is both accessible and refined, ideal for discovering the full subtlety of this grape.
Italy
Renowned for its rich, ripe Pinot Grigio, the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region boasts over thirty grape varieties, both native and international. Emblematic varieties include Friulano, Ribolla Gialla and Malvasia Istriana, which produce dry white wines with good natural acidity, perfectly reflecting the minerality and salinity of Friulian soils. In reds, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso and Schioppettino offer structured, spicy wines deeply rooted in their terroir. Alongside them, international varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc have found their place and express their unique character here.
The region's geographical diversity is reflected in its wine styles: in the north, the temperate continental climate favors fresh, floral whites, while the areas closer to the sea, such as Isonzo and Carso, produce taut, saline and mineral wines, perfect for accompanying seafood, grilled fish or Slavic-inspired dishes.
Finally, Friuli is also one of the historic cradles of Prosecco, the refreshing sparkling white wine now famous the world over.
Fantin Nodar Pinot Bianco 2022 seduces with its delicate freshness and subtle notes of green apple, lemon, and white flowers. Beautiful vibrancy on the palate with a clean and pleasant finish. A refined white at a very affordable price.
This Pinot Bianco is designed to be enjoyed young to fully appreciate its freshness and liveliness, although it can also be aged for 2 to 3 years to develop more nuances.
This wine feels handcrafted by nature itself—crisp citrus and juicy apple layered over a stony backbone, like a carefully painted landscape in your glass. Fresh and vibrant, yet with a quiet depth that rewards patience and reflection.
Fantin Nodar’s Pinot Bianco doesn’t shout—it whispers. Soft pear and lemon peel mingle with delicate floral notes, creating a refined, almost meditative experience. It’s like poetry for your taste buds—graceful, understated, unforgettable.
Paired this with a simple prawn risotto and it was a dream. The freshness and minerality were spot on. Medium-bodied, smooth, and just enough acidity to keep it lively. Will definitely order more.
