REGION

Rhône

France

The Rhône Valley is a historic cradle of French winemaking, stretching from Lyon to Provence and home to over 5,000 estates. In the north, steep hillsides yield intensely expressive Syrahs (Côte-Rôtie, Hermitage) and outstanding whites like Condrieu, made from Viognier. Further south, the diversity of soils—rolled pebbles, sand, and slopes—gives rise to powerful, generous reds (Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas) based on Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Syrah. A gastronomic heartland, the region offers endless unforgettable food and wine pairings.

Aged to Perfection with Great Depth

After several years of aging, 'Le Carré' 2016 has developed tertiary aromas of leather, tobacco, and forest floor, complementing its vibrant core of blackberry and plum. A sophisticated choice for Rhône lovers.

Complex, Balanced & Full-Bodied

This vintage shows layered complexity—ripe dark fruit mingles with notes of garrigue, spice, and earthy undertones. The palate is full-bodied yet balanced, with integrated oak and a refined, lasting finish.

Deep and Earthy, Very Balanced

A really impressive bottle. The nose opens with black cherry, dried herbs, and a little leather. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, smooth, with just enough tannic grip. Notes of ripe plum, black pepper, and earthy spice linger on the finish. I served it with beef stew and aged Comté—perfect match. Great value for money.
