Le Coal River Valley chardonnay est un vin d'une grande finesse, qui dégage une certaine prestance. Au nez, il exprime des saveurs délicates de citron vert, d'écorce de pomme verte et de biscuits. Il peut se boire aussi bien maintenant et dans dix ans, où il aura eu le temps de mûrir. À déguster avec des fruits de mer, une salade fraîche ou de style asiatique, avec des gambas ou encore avec une assiette de fromages, en particulier le brie et le camembert.

Tasmanian vineyards are closer to the cool vineyards of Europe, even France. In the north of the island you will find aromatic Riesling and Pinot Gris, and sparkling wines that keep rising in quality. On the coastal plains and in the south of the island, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer and Pinot Noir grow wonderfully well.
