DESCRIPTION

Sergioveto was conceived by Italo in 1985, in tribute to his son Sergio, who began working alongside him as the head of the winery that year. That said, the name is also a reference to the archaic name of Sangiovese, which was the main grape selected to produce this wine. Bright ruby red in color, the Sergioveto has a warm and seductive aroma of black cherry, plum and black currant syrup, followed by balsamic notes and a spicy finish of leather and sweet tobacco. It can accompany richly flavored dishes, thanks to its assertive tannic note.
