Beaumont Hope Marguerite 2022 reflects the fascinating potential of the Chenin Blanc grape grown in the cool regions of Bot River and Walker Bay. Crafted by the family estate under the direction of Sébastien Beaumont, this historic cuvée is sourced exclusively from heritage parcels planted in 1974 and 1978 on shale soils. Its 11-month aging on the lees in French oak barrels, 15% of which is new oak, imparts remarkable pedigree and structure.
The aromatic profile reveals notes of ripe white fruits and delicate white flowers, lifted by fine hints of citrus, honey, and subtle vanilla. A crisp and pure entry evolves into a generous and silky texture, perfectly balanced between fruit intensity and oak elegance. The finish lingers with a long, refined, and saline touch, making it an ideal pairing for fish and shellfish.
