The Story
From the Lannepax terroir, the historical cradle of Armagnac, the Baron Gaston Legrand 1994 vintage embodies the timeless nobility of the Ténarèze region. Patiently aged in oak barrels, this Cask Strength (Brut de Fût) testifies to the ancestral expertise of the house founded over a century ago, now under the aegis of Maison Cognac Lhéraud.
The Vinification
Distilled according to traditional methods, this Armagnac has matured for over two and a half decades in Gascon oak barrels. The clay-limestone soil of Ténarèze is essential for developing a powerful and structured eau-de-vie (spirit). The Cask Strength (Brut de Fût) bottling preserves the richness and aromatic intensity acquired during this long aging, while ensuring a remarkable balance.
The Tasting
The Ténarèze Armagnac 1994 Cask Strength (Brut de Fût) reveals all the richness of a long aging. Its nose is intense and expressive, deploying notes of spice butter and dried fruits. On the palate, it seduces with its balance and elegance. The tannins are round and present, carried by a beautiful freshness for its age. The finish is long, harmonious, and subtly spicy.

France
William - Local Nose
A vintage that has retained a beautiful vivacity/liveliness. The tannins are well-integrated, offering a beautiful roundness. The aromas of sweet spices on the finish are very pleasant. An excellent Cask Strength (Brut de Fût) Armagnac.
