From the Cerretta cru, one of the most renowned in Serralunga d’Alba, this Barolo by Giovanni Rosso is aimed at discerning connoisseurs… but not exclusively.
Grown at altitudes between 350 and 365 meters on south- and southeast-facing slopes, this 100% Nebbiolo impresses with its controlled power, depth, and refined elegance. Following a long 25-day fermentation in concrete vats and aging for 18 to 36 months in large French oak casks, the wine reveals a captivating aromatic palette: violet, dried rose, ripe cherry, white pepper—all supported by a spicy and mineral framework.
On the palate, the balance is remarkable. The body is full, the tannins are dense yet silky, and the finish is long and precise. A Barolo made for aging, perfect with ribeye steak, filet with mushrooms, or partridge with truffles.
