DESCRIPTION
Casarena Estate Torrontes 2025 is made from 100% Torrontés grown in Cafayate, in the Salta region, at an altitude of approximately 1,650 meters. Grapes are manually harvested and whole-cluster pressed to maximize finesse and complexity. Fermentation is carried out at low temperatures (12 to 14°C) in stainless steel tanks, preserving the vivid and modern character of the variety. Casarena, founded in 2008, is committed to viticulture in organic conversion.
The nose is bright and aromatic, blending pink grapefruit, white flowers, and slightly musky nuances. The palate is lively and refreshing, with dynamic acidity, intense fruitiness, and a clean, persistent finish. At the table, it is ideal with light Asian cuisine or fish and seafood ceviche. Estimated aging potential of 3 years.

Winemakers are also reviving heritage varieties such as Criolla Chica, introduced by Spanish settlers in the 16th century. Hardy and well-suited to high altitudes, Criolla produces light, vibrant wines with floral notes and refreshing acidity.
At the heart of the valleys lies the small town of Cafayate, widely considered the epicenter of Salta’s wine scene. Its internationally acclaimed wines combine power, freshness, and minerality, in a style that is truly unique to this part of the world.
