DESCRIPTION
The Story
Since 1810, Maison Lhéraud has crafted vintage cognacs of rare finesse, faithful to the Charentais tradition. Established in Angeac, in the heart of the Fins Bois, it perpetuates ancestral expertise passed down from generation to generation. This 1976 vintage, sourced from the Fins Bois cru, testifies to a masterful balance between aromatic richness and elegance, the fruit of half a century of patience and mastery.
The Vinification
Distilled in 1976, this Fins Bois Cognac has aged naturally in Limousin oak barrels, with no additives or reduction. The Fins Bois terroir, with its clay-limestone soils and temperate climate, confers a beautiful roundness and depth on the eau-de-vie (spirit). The slow micro-oxygenation from the wood has enriched its texture and developed elegant notes of stewed fruits, chocolate, and fine spices.
The Tasting
On the nose, intense aromas of candied fruits, dark chocolate, and subtle spices. On the palate, the texture is silky and balanced, supported by a long and refined finish with a delicate peppery touch. The Lhéraud Fins Bois Cognac 1976 perfectly reflects the richness and elegance of the Charentais terroir.
REGION
Nouvelle Aquitaine
France
