Henschke Mount Edelstone Shiraz 2018 is a magnificent, elegant, and balanced Syrah from the centenarian Mount Edelstone vineyard with very low yields. Its complex and meticulous aging process transports us through a rich and unforgettable aromatic range. This is a 100% pure Shiraz, grown on the limestone soils of the Eden Valley and aged for 20 months in French and American oak barrels (including 27% new wood). It features 14.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.54, and 6.47 g/L of total acidity. Aging potential of 30 years and more.
On the nose, black fruits and complex notes of sage, black pepper, star anise, and dark chocolate. On the palate, seductive and juicy, with sumptuous tannins and a persistent finish. A great Australian wine praised by top wine critics. Pairs with grilled lamb chops or a roast beef.
