History
Rooted for generations in Roussillon, Domaine Singla embodies a family winegrowing heritage passed down with passion. Laurent de Besombes Singla, heir to this lineage, has chosen to express the richness of Mediterranean terroirs through authentic, environmentally respectful wines. Certified organic since 2006, the estate enhances its clay-limestone soils and sun-drenched terraced hillsides swept by the Tramontane. L’Héritage 2010 perpetuates the ancestral art of Vins Doux Naturels, particularly the practice of mutage invented by Arnau de Vilanova in the 13th century.
Vinification
Made from 100% Macabeu, this Rivesaltes is produced by direct pressing, followed by mutage in liquid phase to preserve the grapes’ natural sugars. Aging takes place slowly and patiently for seven years in oak casks, giving the wine its unique aromatic complexity. This long oxidative maturation reveals both the savoir-faire of Domaine Singla and the nobility of its terroir.
Tasting Notes
Its amber robe is brightened by luminous reflections. The nose reveals refined notes of sweet spices and mocha, carried on the palate by flavors reminiscent of rum and brandy. The whole is balanced, long, and of great aromatic intensity. Served between 16 and 18 °C, it pairs beautifully as an aperitif or with foie gras, melon, poultry liver pie, almond pastilla, blue cheeses, as well as desserts with dried fruits and indulgent ice creams. The Vivino community has awarded it an excellent rating of 4.2/5.
