Yering Station Shiraz Viognier 2022 is a benchmark wine for the estate. Sourced from a special Shiraz plot in the Carr vineyard in Coldstream (Yarra Valley), the addition of Viognier gives the wine its distinctive perfumed lift. It features 14% alcohol. Vinified in a traditional manner and aged in French oak barrels.
On the nose, a richness of ripe black fruits, dark chocolate, and earthy spices, accompanied by notes of raspberry jam, whipped cream, rose petals, cedar, and potpourri. On the palate, rich, elegant, and generous, juicy and structured, with slightly sandy tannins providing structure without dominating. Savory and structured finish, deep and refined. Ideal pairing with roasted lamb with herbs or game.
