DESCRIPTION
In 2005, Catalina Sounds launched with one goal in mind: to produce the best wines in Marlborough. It is in the Waihopai Valley, at the top of the South Island of New Zealand that this magic happens. Why Catalina? The vineyard was named after the magnificent flying boats, which played a role in the South Pacific during and after World War II. This Sauvignon Blanc mirrors its aerial beauty. The bouquet cruises by with notes of lemongrass, citrus peel, and passionfruit, while the palate glides nicely with its fine line of ripe fruit texture and juicy minerality. Take this crisp wine for a spin with a seafood platter, grilled fish or a scrumptious mixed salad.

New Zealand
Marlborough is New Zealand's most important wine region by far. Situated at the northeastern tip of the South Island, this dry, sunny region is home to over 500 growers and produces around three-quarters of all New Zealand wine.
