DESCRIPTION
This Chenin Blanc is a blend of eight old bush vines located in the Swartland, grown on granite and clay soils. Vinified without the use of oak, it fully expresses the purity of fruit and minerality characteristic of this exceptional South African terroir, a global benchmark for this varietal.
The nose, surprisingly aromatic for a young Chenin, mingles spring flowers, honeysuckle, and a touch of lanolin. The palate, rich and profound, is driven by a vibrant, taut acidity, saline minerality, and a waxy note on the finish, leading to a long, persistent finale. Serve at around 10-12°C with roast pork, blue cheese and walnut pasta, or shrimp.
