Made in China takes on a whole new meaning with Mulando. Fang Wang, a Chinese-born German businesswoman, decided to name her wine company after the famed warrior Mulan (yes, like the Disney movie). Similarly to this folklorish heroine, Fang Wang is a woman in a man’s world, doing what she can to carve her place in the Chinese and international wine market. The M365 white is a Riesling that exemplifies the unexpectedly perfect alliance between passion and citrus fruits and gasoline. White floral notes tag along to add a little bit of freshness to this wine that gets along famously with seafood and poultry.

A flourishing wine region in the North-West of China, Ningxia is yet to be discovered by many wine lovers. Set along the east foothill of Helan Mountain, China's most significant wine-producing region is increasingly being recognised on the world stage, notably its complex, well-balanced wines. The warm, continental climate of Ningxia enables a high sugar accumulation, slow ripening process and deep flavour profile, creating an incredibly unique palate.

I found similarities in this wine to Alsace Riesling. It has a slightly bitter nose, quite distinctive. This wine would pair well with ceviche or a fish that’s not too delicate or too flavorful — swordfish, for example.
