DESCRIPTION
A stunning pale color, this Chardonnay is full of delicate aromas like exotic fruit and fresh bread, yet reveals subtle hints of menthol. This vintage finishes off with some light notes of eucalyptus. The Domaine Beranger is a very fine and elegant wine to drink. This wine pairs nicely with risotto, oysters, gambas, quenelles or comté cheese.

The Mâconnais region is known as the wine attic of Bourgogne. It spans a fourth of the Bourguignon vineyard and its clay-limestone soil is 50 km long and 15 km wide. The region’s landscape contrasts between peaceful valleys and abrupt cliffs. The diverse terroirs of the area produce aromatic white wines that age well. The vines in this sun-drenched region are planted up to 400m from sea-level on well-exposed hills. The kingdom of Chardonnay (80% implantation), unites five of the most famous white wine ‘village’ appellations : Pouilly-Fuissé, Pouilly-Vinzelles, Pouilly-Loché, Saint-Véran and Viré-Clessé. As for red wines (15% of total production), Gamay supplants Pinot Noir.
