Escarpment Chardonnay 2020 expresses the precise and mineral character of Martinborough through an interpretation inspired by great Burgundian Chardonnays. The 2020 season provided favorable conditions for slow ripening that preserved freshness. Fermented and aged for 11 months in French oak barrels (20% new) with partial malolactic fermentation and battonage on the lees, it displays texture, volume, and complexity.

The nose combines ripe white fruits, citrus, discrete buttery notes, and a mineral touch of flint. The palate is ample, supple, and textured, with a precise and balanced mineral frame. The finish is long and fresh. Recommended pairing with roasted turbot with hollandaise sauce or farm-raised poultry with cream sauce.
