DESCRIPTION
Greywacke Wild Sauvignon 2023 is Kevin Judd's signature cuvée, a bold and unconstrained interpretation of Sauvignon Blanc. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in French oak barrels (10% new) with an extended maturation on the lees, it reveals a textured, generous, and complex style, while retaining the emblematic freshness of New Zealand terroirs.
The nose presents aromas of ripe melon, lime zest, candied ginger, and toasted coconut. The palate is ample and generous, with a saline finish evoking oyster shell, balanced by a lively acidity. Aging potential of 5 to 8 years. Best enjoyed with seared sea scallops or a poultry tajine with citrus fruits.
