DESCRIPTION
Henschke Keyneton Euphonium 2021 is a refined blend of 63% Shiraz, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Merlot, sourced from carefully selected parcels in the Eden and Barossa valleys on sandy-clay soils with gravel. Aged for 18 months in oak barrels (11% new, 89% seasoned, French and American). It features 14.5% alcohol and 6.54 g/L of total acidity. The 2021 vintage, considered exceptional, offers an aging potential of over 25 years.
On the nose, complex aromas of blackberry, raspberry, plum, rhubarb, and blackcurrant, with touches of sage, sweet spices, and violet. On the palate, ample and structured, supported by a beautiful freshness and silky tannins. Beautiful balance and elegance, with a persistent and delicately spicy finish. Ideal pairing with a roasted beef tenderloin or a rack of lamb in a pistachio crust.
