The Story
Founded in 1810 in Angeac, Maison Lhéraud embodies the artisanal excellence of Charentais cognac. Faithful to the family tradition, it crafts vintage cognacs of rare authenticity, distilled in a Charentais still and naturally aged in its blonde stone cellars. The 1975 vintage, sourced from the Bons Bois cru, reflects the patient expertise of a house that allows time to shape perfection.
The Vinification
Distilled in 1975, this Bons Bois Cognac rested for long years in Limousin oak barrels, with no additives or reduction. The maritime terroir of the Bons Bois cru imparts a personality to the eau-de-vie (spirit) that is both fruity and saline. The slow interaction between the wood and the cognac has enriched the texture and developed aromas of vanilla, cocoa, and spices, accompanied by a subtle rancio and a silky, persistent finish.
The Tasting
On the palate, the Lhéraud Bons Bois Cognac 1975 captivates with a masterful balance between power and sweetness. The aromas of spices, cocoa, and vanilla blend with a silky roundness and delicate warmth. Its ample texture reveals a beautiful maturity, while the long and subtly sweet finish leaves a persistent impression of elegance and harmony. A noble and refined cognac, a testament to time and Charentais expertise.

France
