The Story
Since 1810, Maison Lhéraud has crafted vintage cognacs of rare finesse, faithful to the Charentais tradition. Established in Angeac, in the heart of the Fins Bois, it perpetuates ancestral expertise passed down from generation to generation. This 1975 vintage, sourced from the Fins Bois cru, testifies to a masterful balance between aromatic richness and elegance, the fruit of half a century of patience and mastery.
The Vinification
Distilled in 1975, this Fins Bois Cognac has aged naturally in Limousin oak barrels, with no additives or reduction. The Fins Bois terroir, situated between clay-limestone soils and an oceanic climate, offers the eau-de-vie (spirit) remarkable roundness and depth. The slow micro-oxygenation from the wood has enriched the texture and developed elegant notes of cocoa, vanilla, and fine spices.
The Tasting
On the nose, the bouquet reveals aromas of stewed fruits, dark chocolate, and vanilla. On the palate, the texture is velvety and harmonious, supported by notes of spices and a long and warm finish, punctuated by a subtle peppery touch. The Lhéraud Fins Bois Cognac 1975 perfectly embodies the balance and elegance of Charentais expertise.

France
