Born in the southwest of the Araucana vineyard, this great Argentine wine comes from 22-year-old vines planted on sandy-loamy soil of alluvial, wind-blown and volcanic origin, rich in calcium carbonate. Swept by the constant winds of Patagonia and cooled by fresh nights, this unique terroir offers grapes of remarkable concentration and aromatic precision.
The 2020 vintage, nicknamed The Challenge, was marked by a cool and humid spring and a shortened growing cycle. Thanks to the Patagonian winds, the harvest maintained exemplary purity, producing a blend of Malbec, Merlot and Petit Verdot aged 16 months in French oak barrels.
The deep color announces a nose of black cherry, wild truffle, pink pepper, juniper and violet. On the palate, the silky tannins and harmonious structure finish with a long finale. A powerful and refined Patagonian wine, crafted for aging and fine dining.
Argentina
Between 38° and 45° south latitude, Patagonia is among the world's southernmost vineyards. Cool climate, constant winds and alluvial soils, sometimes calcareous, produce wines of remarkable natural purity and acidity. Under the Patagonia Argentina appellation, three zones stand out: Río Negro for its elegant wines, Neuquén for their power, and Chubut, the southernmost, for their aromatic freshness. Malbec, the king grape variety, offers a fresher and more elegant style there than in the rest of the country, alongside Pinot Noir, Merlot and crystalline whites.
Ribera del Cuarzo Parcela Única 2020 est un vin rouge argentin exceptionnel, reflétant le caractère unique de son terroir patagonien et le savoir-faire de la Bodega Ribera del Cuarzo.
Concentrated yet lifted, this single parcel gem delivers dark cherry, crushed herbs, and spice. An elegant powerhouse for the price.
A wine that speaks of precision and altitude — vibrant red fruits, fine tannins, and a mineral finish that reflects its stony terroir. Outstanding value.
Nicolas - Local Nose
A wine that impresses with its complexity. Aromas of black cherry and truffle. The structure is dense yet elegant.
