DESCRIPTION
Caroline and Pierre Bécot represent the latest generation of the Bécot family, owners of Château Beau-Séjour Bécot, a Premier Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion. In 2015, they took over Bernon Bécot: 9 hectares of vines on the high plateau of Puisseguin Saint-Émilion, on clay and limestone soils. The estate is certified High Environmental Value.
This wine blends 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, from 40-year-old vines. After plot selection, the grapes undergo cold maceration, then ferment in stainless steel tanks with pigeage (punching down). The wine is aged for 14 months in barrels that previously held wine from Beau-Séjour Bécot.
The result is balanced: it expresses power, finesse, and fruit, carried by integrated oak and silky tannins.
