The Arbin cru is recognized as the best terroir for Mondeuse, thanks to its clay-limestone scree exposed full south. The "La Brova" cuvée from Louis Magnin comes from a plot of old vines (about 50 years old) cultivated biodynamically, producing grapes of exceptional concentration.
Vinified for aging, this Mondeuse benefited from a long vatting period (30 days) and patient aging of 18 months in barrels or large oak vats (foudres). The 2018 vintage, sunny and generous, now offers a developed wine, where the fire of youth has given way to fascinating aromatic complexity.
The palate is powerful with well-integrated tannins. It exhales notes of sweet spices, white pepper, and a finish that stretches out long on undergrowth aromas. This great red wine will accompany dishes of choice: a beef fillet with reduced sauce, 7-hour lamb, or roasted poultry with parsnip puree.

France
Savoie is a mountainous French wine region located near the Swiss border. The region is very fragmented by its mountainous terrain. The cool climate of Savoie dictates the predominance of crisp white wines produced in the region. Despite the difficulty of reds to mature in this type of climate, Savoie is the home of Mondeuse, a red grape variety used to make wines with a significant bitterness.

What length! After a few years, this Mondeuse has become incredible. Spice, pepper... this is very high level.
