REGION

Stellenbosch

South Africa

Stellenbosch is undoubtedly South Africa’s most prestigious wine region. Located in the coastal region of the Western Cape, east of Cape Town, it enjoys a Mediterranean climate tempered by sea breezes and sheltered by surrounding mountains. Its varied terroir – granite, shale, and sandy soils – allows for the production of both powerful red wines and elegant whites.

While Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-style blends (with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot) have built its reputation, Stellenbosch is also renowned for its refined Chenin Blancs, distinctive Chardonnays, and expressive Syrahs. Home to many iconic estates, this appellation remains a showcase of South African winemaking expertise.

Expressif et élégant

Kleinood Tamboerskloof Viognier charme par sa finesse et son intensité aromatique. Notes de pêche, de fleur d’oranger et une pointe minérale. Un vin blanc à savourer dès maintenant ou à garder.

Aromatic & Expressive with Great Freshness

This Viognier showcases vibrant floral aromas alongside juicy stone fruits. The palate is rich yet lively, with a well-integrated minerality that adds elegance and complexity.

Such a beautiful wine for the price

I didn’t expect to enjoy this as much as I did. It's layered and expressive—like a white Rhône but with a South African twist. Amazing complexity for something under $30. Good value for money, especially for Viognier of this quality.

Such a beautiful wine for the price

I bought this on a whim and was genuinely surprised at how fresh and well-balanced it was. The citrus and green apple notes were vibrant without being sharp. It paired perfectly with grilled halibut. Great value for a white Burgundy.
