DESCRIPTION
Situated in in the heart of Maury, in the French Pyrenees, the Mas de Lavail winery is the story of a family's passion for land and nature. As a result, the vines are conducted in organic farming. The Initiale is rich in flavor, to say the least. Menthol, cacao, balsamic vinegar and black fruit compote combine to create an expressive, intense bouquet. Velvety tannins and the imprint of freshness on your tongue make this a wine to remember. Rich, complex and structured, the Initiale goes perfectly with duck or a roast.
REGION
Languedoc-Roussillon
France
Languedoc-Roussillon is one of the largest wine producing regions in France, located just north of the Spanish border. The large surface area of the region ensures that there is a great diversity of soils and terroirs, but all benefit from a warm and humid Mediterranean climate, ideal for viticulture. This diversity is also reflected in the grape varieties of the wines, which range from Cabernet Sauvignon to Carignan for the reds or from Grenache Blanc to Bourboulenc for the whites.
