DESCRIPTION
The Saint Vincent highlights the finesse and complexity of a wine aged on lees. For ten months, this white wine is aged on lees - those dead yeasts at the bottom of the barrel that enrich its bouquet and contribute to the fullness of its body. Before the wine is bottled, it is placed in stainless steel tanks for blending. The wine is then bottled following the rules of the lunar calendar. The Chardonnay expresses itself here through notes of juicy fruit, butter and florals. The Saint Vincent is both unctuous and fresh. This wine is a great match for seafood, shellfish, or a charcuterie and cheese board. In other words, this wine is perfect for an apéritif.
REGION
Burgundy
France
Burgundy is one of the largest wine-producing regions in Eastern France and produces some of the most exclusive wines in the world. Burgundy's semi-continental climate and limestone soils give the wines exceptional minerality and complexity. The region has two main grape varieties: Pinot Noir for red wines and Chardonnay for white wines. If you prefer something more rustic, you can opt for Gamay or Aligoté which are less common grape varieties in the region.
