Shaw + Smith Pinot Noir 2022 comes from low-yielding vines located in the exceptional terroir of Lenswood, in the heart of the Adelaide Hills. The key to this cuvée lies in a rigorous selection of the finest grapes from exceptional vineyards, unparalleled winemaking expertise, and a precise, mastered use of wood. Aged for 8 months in French oak. It features 13.5% alcohol and 4.5 g/L total acidity. Cellaring potential of 5 to 8 years.
On the nose, it reveals cherry, rhubarb, and floral notes mingled with spicy nuances. On the palate, it is complex, aromatic, and medium-bodied, with deceptive power and silky tannins. Pairs beautifully with duck confit or smoked fish.
