Yarra Yering Agincourt 2019 is crafted by Yarra Yering, one of the oldest estates in the Yarra Valley, founded in 1969 by Dr. Bailey Carrodus. Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (planted 1995) and Malbec (planted 1990) from the Agincourt block. Aged in French oak barrels. Cellaring potential of 10 years.
On the nose, expressive and complex, black and red fruits, fresh herbs, and delicate spices. On the palate, refined, full, and vibrant, with supple and well-integrated tannins, leading to a clean and crisp finish. Pairs with grilled red meats or rich braised dishes.
Australia
The Yarra Valley is a well-respected Australian wine region that occupies the eastern half of the Port Phillip viticultural zone, in the diminutive state of Victoria. At complete odds with the usual, hot and dry Shiraz-growing image of Australia, Yarra Valley is best known for its bright, complex wines made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
