Yarra Yering Dry Red N°1 2021 is crafted by Yarra Yering, one of the oldest estates in the Yarra Valley, founded in 1969 by Dr. Bailey Carrodus. Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant blend with Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot sourced from Block No.1 planted in 1969. Aged for 15 months in French oak barrels (40% new). Cellaring potential of 20+ years.
On the nose, blackberry, anise, sarsaparilla, marzipan, and blackcurrant with bergamot and sage. On the palate, full-bodied, with a fleshy, fruity, and juicy mouthfeel and fine tannins. Pairs with roasted leg of lamb or wild boar.
