DESCRIPTION
Discover the excellence of a Châteauneuf-du-Pape from the three emblematic terroirs of the appellation. Château Maucoil, located northwest on the left bank of the Rhône, combines rolled pebbles, Urgonian limestone, and sand to create a wine of great complexity.
Vineyard and terroir 40-year-old vines on average, planted on sand and rolled pebbles. Yields controlled at 25 hl/ha. Hand-harvested with selective berry-by-berry sorting for optimal quality.
Winemaking and aging Parcel-based vinification in concrete tanks by grape variety. 30-day maceration with pump-overs, rack-and-returns, and punch-downs. Mixed aging in tanks and one-year-old barrels for 12 months before final blending.
Tasting notes Intense, bright ruby robe. Delicate nose with black fruit and spice notes. Charming and intense palate, remarkable balance, and great elegance from bottling.
Food pairing and serving Serve at 16-17°C. Decanting recommended if young (less than 5 years). Ideal with beef stew or mushroom risotto
