DESCRIPTION
The Vau-Ligneau is a delicate Premier Cru situated in the commune of Beine, benefiting from a full South exposure on a Kimmeridgian subsoil. The vines, aged 20 to 30 years, produce a wine of great distinction there. The 2023 vintage was praised by critics for its harmony and freshness, notably winning a Gold medal at the Concours des Vins de l'Yonne.
Vinified in temperature-controlled tanks to respect the finesse of the terroir, this Premier Cru offers a pure expression of Chardonnay. The Guide Hachette 2026 highlights its remarkable balance between the roundness of ripe fruits and a fine mineral tension. It is a wine that combines the rigor of Chablis with the charm of a great terroir.
Its pale white gold color shines in the glass. The nose, still shy but of great finesse, opens onto white flowers and citrus fruits. On the palate, the entry is supple, combining a powerful mellowness with a tender liveliness. The finish, resolutely mineral, is long and elegant. A wine built for aging.
