At the foot of the Charmes and Corcelette climats, Franck and Cyrille Chavy perpetuate the family expertise on the granitic terroirs of Morgon. Their vines, approximately 50 years old, are cultivated using sustainable viticulture practices, with genuine attention given to yield control. The result: wines that combine power, finesse, and terroir expression.
This 2021 Morgon captivates with its brilliant garnet color and intense nose of black cherry, kirsch, and warm stone. The palate is structured and fleshy, with substance, deliberate firmness, and well-defined tannins that promise excellent aging potential. A typical Morgon cru wine, robust yet nuanced, consistently rewarded by critics.
To be enjoyed today with a fine piece of grilled beef, herb-roasted pork, or aged cheeses. Or to be forgotten in the cellar for a few years to reveal its full depth.
France
Situated just south of Burgundy, Beaujolais is a wine-growing region with a semi-continental climate conducive to the production of fresh, fruity, brilliant red wines. Its emblematic grape variety, Gamay, expresses remarkable purity and vivacity, whether in the cuvées de soif or the deeper expressions of the crus.
The region boasts ten prestigious crus, each with its own personality: Brouilly, Côte de Brouilly, Chénas, Chiroubles, Fleurie, Juliénas, Morgon, Moulin-à-Vent, Régnié and Saint-Amour. Names that resonate with fans of gourmet red wines, combining freshness, finesse and character.
Un Morgon généreux, rond et plaisant, qui allie fruité et fraîcheur. Parfait pour accompagner une cuisine de terroir ou un plateau de charcuterie. Accessible et de belle qualité.
Fresh and lively, yet with enough structure to pair beautifully with roast chicken, charcuterie, or mushroom dishes. A classic Cru Beaujolais that delivers great value and versatility.
A very expressive Morgon with bright cherry and plum upfront, followed by a subtle earthiness and a touch of violet. Tannins are fine and well-polished. Enjoyed it with duck confit, and it held up beautifully. A classic Cru Beaujolais with finesse.

Lots of fruit, nice density, and that granitic finish I love to find in Morgon.
